Announcements and Updates
Hello,

I've written a tutorial that should help anyone getting started with Action Game Maker.

Howdy. Been a while since I made an announcement. Kav's been doing all the work around here. shifty.gif

Anyway, I want to apologize for our recent downtime. It lasted much longer than we expected. Long story short: the old server wasn't capable of handling us reliably, and then it took a little bit longer than we expected to get the "actiongamemaker.com" domain functioning on the new server. The current hosting is temporary, but it should do the trick for the time being.

In other news, you can expect some changes in the future. We have some plans for the main site, but more immediate than that we are going to be upgrading the forums. It shouldn't be a huge difference and no information should be lost, but we might have to recreate the forum skin, which might take some time (especially since my full-time job this summer is preventing me from getting a lot of AGM stuff done).

That said, AGM has been out for some time now, and we don't have nearly as much content as we'd like! Over the next few weeks, I plan to begin writing some tutorials whenever I have the time, but I can't be the only one! We would absolutely love for the members of our community to start sharing their knowledge of the knew program. Action Game Maker has a very steep learning curve, and we know that plenty of you have mastered it (or come close). If anyone wants to write some tutorials for beginners, then we sure could use them.

The same goes for graphics as well. I've released a small graphics package a couple of months ago, and we haven't seen much since then. AGM is a very graphics-centric program. Most of my time with it has been spent playing around with the animation editor, and I'm impressed by how detailed it is. So graphics artists—take up your pixel pencils and lets see what you can do!

Until next time,
Keep on Gaming.

Edit: I fixed the URL's so the pages and downloads should all work now.
